Granada Reports on Middlewich Town Crier Championship With Tim Scott

Middlewich was proud to host the British National Championship of the Loyal Company of Town Criers. The event was a real coup for the town, which had to pitch against several other destinations to hold the event. Upholding heritage and tradition the event took place during the Makers Market, which is known to always attract a crowd.

There were a total of 14 town criers who participated. The winner in 1st place is Michael Wood of East Riding in Yorkshire followed by Julie Mitchell of Knutsford in 2nd place and finally, 3rd place was given to John Robinson of Biddulph.
