Monday 21 June 2021 Full Council Meeting to be held outdoors
FULL COUNCIL MEETING, Monday 21st JUNE 2021
In light of the Government decision to extend the lockdown period until the 19th July 2021 and due to the large increase in Delta variant cases we are seeing in the area, the Town Council has made the decision to shorten the Agenda for the Monday 21st June 2021 meeting and hold it OUTSIDE. This is to approve the Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) which must be approved before 30th June 2021.
We are unable to hAdd Newold meetings using Zoom, following the end of the legislation previously allowing this on 6th May 2021. Most issues can be dealt with under delegated authority and reported back at a future meeting (as in item 5), but the AGAR cannot be delegated to the Town Clerk to approve. We are therefore required to have a face-to-face meeting. The safest way to do this at present is outside.
The Agenda pack for the meeting is available on our meetings page. Click here for the link: Meetings – Middlewich Town Council
Because the weather can be somewhat changeable we have also responded to the large number of public questions received this month as part of the Agenda pack. This is to avoid the public waiting for answers on the issues raised until the July Full Council Meeting. An update on the Cemetery matter is also contained within the item 3 report.
It is the Council’s intention to stream the Council meeting on Facebook as well as members of the public being able to attend the meeting on Civic Way Car Park.
