Garden bin subscription

From January 2024, you will need to be signed up to our scheme if you would like us to continue collecting your garden bin.

Subscribe to our Garden Waste Recycling Scheme

By opting-in to the service, you can continue using your garden bin to recycle your garden waste and will pay an annual subscription fee of £56 for it to be collected. If you receive qualifying benefits, a 25% reduction in the fee will be applicable, reducing it to £42 per bin for the year.​

Your garden waste will be taken away to our state-of-the-art facility, in Crewe, where it will be turned into compost for use in agriculture and horticulture.

If you subscribe, you can also choose to continue recycling your food waste by putting it in your garden bin.

There are no garden bin collections between mid-December and mid-January each year.

This year, garden bin collections will continue as normal for all residents until 15 December. They will then restart for subscribers to the scheme on 15 January 2024.
