Middlewich Town Council – Councillors Wanted

ARE YOU OVER 18 AND A REGISTERED ELECTOR IN MIDDLEWICH AND INTERESTED IN WORKING FOR YOUR COMMUNITY AS A TOWN COUNCILLOR?

Middlewich Town Council currently has four vacancies for members of Middlewich Town Council; four in Cledford Ward and one in Kinderton Ward, which it can now fill by co-option.

The term of office is until May 2027, you do not have to be a member of any political party, although you will be expected to sign a declaration to the effect that you will agree to abide by the Code of Conduct, which governs the way in which all Councillors undertake their duties.

As a Town Councillor you will have the opportunity to bring local issues to the attention of the Town Council, and help to make decisions on behalf of, and for the benefit of the local community.

Being a Town Councillor can be a very interesting and rewarding experience and although Town Councillors get no financial reward, many find it personally rewarding as they almost certainly do something positive and are able to influence decisions, which will help to shape the future of Middlewich.
