Service of Remembrance for the late Queen Elizabeth II

On Sunday 19th September, the Town Council held a Service of Remembrance for her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The parade started from the Community Centre on St Ann’s Walk onto Queen Street then on to St Michael & All Angels Church, where a service was held. On route the parade passed Fountain Fields, where a group of youths came and stood at the entrance of the park, silently and respectively whilst the parade went past, where they joined the parade at the end. After the service the Mayor and guest, including the Deputy Mayor, Current Cllrs, past Mayors, British Legion, and various community groups then proceed to Victoria Hall for a smaller service and refreshments.
