VE Day Programme 80th Anniversary Celebration

Thursday 08th May 2025

9.00am On the steps of the Town Hall the Mayor will read the Proclamation, the Union Flag will be raised followed by GOD SAVE THE KING

9.30am Morning Service at St Micheals

6.30 pm Church Bells of St Micheals will ring out the celebration of peace in conjunction with other Towns and Parishes across Cheshire and the whole Country

7.30pm Live music and Dance 40s style at the Victoria Hall Ticketed Event at £8.00 per ticket To purchase tickets contact Nikki on 07955 270587 or the Middlewich Royal British Legion. Doors open at 7.00pm.

9.30pm VE day Tribute to all those who gave so much to the war effort will be read out at the Victoria Hall followed by the singing of, I Vow to Thee My Country Middlewich

Royal British Legion Riders Annual Visit 2022

This Saturday, join Middlewich Mayor Councillor Colin Coules in welcoming the Royal British Legion Riders once again to our town.

Annually, The Riders lay a wreath on the Memorial and also welcome donations and have Poppies on sale in support of our Armed Forces. Everybody is welcome.

The event runs from 16th until the 17th July on Harbutts Field and entry is by donation.

Dogs are Welcome

If you are bringing your dogs to the Folk & Boat Festival, below is some useful information about which Fringe venues allow dogs: ALL OF THEM! Dogs on leads are welcome. Please check each specific Fringe venue as access can be different from one pub to the next.

You will find water for your four legged friends across the town at different locations. In case of a pet emergency, call the Veterinary number: 01606 833731. This will put you through to the weekend emergency team based in nearby Hartford.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG UNATTENDED IN A VEHICLE. DOG THEFT IS HIGH ACROSS THE UK AND THE WEATHER MAY NOT BE SUITABLE. BOTH CIRCUMSTANCES CAN PUT YOUR DOG AT RISK.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE NO FIREWORKS AT THE FESTIVAL BUT NOISE LEVELS CAN BE HIGH.
